MAROK

(Thomas Marecki to his parents) is a graphic designer, painter, illustrator and all around maverick genius who’s creative radius ranges from publishing a magazine to animation and filming  for diverse video projects. Born and raised in the city of Berlin/Germany Marok stuied graphic design at the respected ‘Lette Verein’ Berlin. His travels to the US for freelance work and cultural experiences saw him inspired by an encounter in California with David Carson. Following this rendezvous, Marok returned to Berlin and realizing more than ever that Germany was lacking in a publishing exponency that centred around leftfield popculture. In 1995 Lodown magazine was founded.

CREAM

Jérôme “Cream” Degive was born in Belgium in the small town of Liège in 1980. After a short stint doing scientific studies the young man quickly moved onto fine arts, his real passion. His talent quickly pushed him to focus on his own work after having taken part in various edition and exhibition projects with his old crew “The ERS” from 2003 – 2007. Since then he has formed a new collective named Pica Pica for his gallery works, continuing in parallel to develop his more illustrative, graphical and typography inclined commercial projects.

FANNY BOSTRÖM

Swedish born artist and illustrator, and creator of a rather infamous haircut! Lives and works in Brooklyn with her 3 cats Siri, Bean and the Gidget. In her spare time she reads tea leaves and cruises the streets for spare cats.

BILL GENTLE

British born photographer and pro stalker/blogger, lives and works in Brooklyn with Fanny and the cats. In his spare time he surfs, fixes the car and makes tea … for Fanny and the cats!

This creatively talented couple are both incredibly prolific, seeking whenever possible to travel and soak up cultural experiences that infect and affect their work.

Giorgio

GIORGIO CAMUFFO

Giorgio Camuffo is a reknowned and respected art director and illustrator. In 1990 he founded collective agency ‘Studio Camuffo’ to focus on curation and image design, sign-boarding, publishing design, graphic design for architecture, exhibition design, interior design and he still finds the time to curate the magazine “Venice is not sinking” devoted to the undiscovered aspects of  Venetian cultural existence. Giorgio Camuffo teaches visual and multimedia design of the Venice School of Architecture (IUAV). Works by Studio Camuffo have featured internationally in eminent museums and galleries.

JAMES JARVIS

Born in London in 1970 and raised on a diet of Richard Scarry, Hergé, Judge Dredd and Albert Camus, Jarvis studied Illustration at the

University of Brighton and the Royal College of Art

In 1998 Jarvis designed the iconic toy figure ‘Martin’, unwittingly helping start the ‘designer’ toy phenomenon. In 2003 Jarvis, together with Russell Waterman and Sofia Prantera, established a company, Amos, to independently promote Jarvis’ designs. To date Amos has released nearly 100 character toys, including the iconic King Ken and the mysterious and existential YOD. In 2009 Jarvis directed his first film, ‘Onwards’, in collaboration with Richard Kenworthy. Jarvis lives and works in London with his partner and two children.

LISELOTTE WATKINS

Liselotte Watkins attended the Art Institute of Dallas and launched her career as an illustrator in New York. Her unique style garnered immediate attention and she landed the prestigious assignment to illustrate Barney’s make-up advertising every Sunday in The New York Times. Today Liselotte works with some of the worlds greatest names, her clients include The New Yorker, Vogue and Elle. Among her commercial clients, you will find such market leaders as H&M, Miu Miu, NK, MAC Cosmetics and Anna Sui. Liselotte’s style is “unmatchable and stunningly original” never complacent, and she regularly refines and transforms herself. Based in Milan and Stockholm. She has published two books, ”Watkin’s Heroine” and ”Watkin’s Box of Pin-ups”, which will soon be followed by ”Watkin’s No 1”
